Solid Granny Square

Justo a tiempo los cuatro grannies de febrero. He copiado la idea a Isabel Ciudad de hacer un cuadrado con cada mes, de manera que cuando acabemos el año no tenga tanto que coser. Y de paso me sirve para ir haciéndome una idea del como va a quedar.

Just in time the four grannies of February. I've copied the idea from Isabel Ciudad. I've sewed them making a square. In this way I won't have to sew very much when the CAL will be finished. Also it   show me how the blanket is going on.

Y así ha quedado enero después de ser cosido.

And this is January after be sewed.

Basic Granny Square

Con un poco de retraso aquí están los grannies de enero.

LA MANTA DE LOLA

Mi sobrina Lola nació el 6 de febrero, pero yo no terminé su manta hasta san Valentín. El patrón es muy sencillo: "Chocolate box blanket".He usado tres ovillos de lana multicolor y uno ovillo rosa para la orilla: una pasada a punto bajo y otra a punto cangrejo. Las letras se me ocurrieron después de haberla terminado. Es un cordón de monja cosido formando su nombre.

My niece Lola was born on February 6th, but I did not finish her blanket until Valentine's Day. The pattern is very simple: "Chocolate box blanket". I have used three balls of multicolored wool and one ball of pink for the edge: one pass at single crochet and another at  crab point. I thought about the letters after I finished it. It is a stitched nun cord forming its name.

GRANTASTIC 2019 CAL

Como tengo mucho tiempo libre (nótese la guasa) me he apuntado al Grantastic 2019 CAL. Se trata de tejer una manta a ganchillo a lo largo del año. Cada mes la organizadora subirá un patrón de granny diferente. Hay que tejer 4 de cada uno (en total serán 48). Y claro, no tenía lana apropiada para tejerla. Así que he tenido que comprar más, jajaja. Voy con un mes de retraso. Ahora tengo que tejer los de enero (4 grannies de la abuela de toda la vida) y los 4 de febrero (el patrón estará disponible esta semana). En cuanto me ponga al día os enseño las fotos.

I have a lot of free time (you know it is a joke ;)) I signed up for the Grantastic 2019 CAL. It is about crocheting blanket throughout the year. Each month the organizer will upload a different granny pattern. You have to knit 4 of each (total will be 48). And of course, I did not have appropriate wool to crochet it, so I had to buy more, hahaha. I'm a month late. Now I have to knit the ones from January (4 grannies of the traditional granny) and the 4 of February (the patron will be available this week). As soon as I will get up to date, I will show you the photos.

REUNIÓN DE FEBRERO

¡Upps cómo pasan las semanas! Hoy ya es el tercer sábado del mes y tocaba reunión de las Tejedoras Murcianas Reunidas. Esta tarde ha sido un poco accidentada porque la cafetería donde habíamos quedado ha cerrado y nos hemos enterado cuando nos hemos encontrado con las puertas cerradas. Entonces hemos ido a otra que sí que estaba abierta pero que por inventario tenía que cerrar a las 19.30. Y sin más comentarios os dejo con las fotos. Espero que os gusten.

Upps how the weeks go by! Today is the third Saturday of the month so is the day of Tejedoras Murcianas Reunidas meeting. This afternoon has been a bit accidental because the coffee-bar where we had met was closed. We didn't notice it until we went there and we found the doors closed. Then we went to another coffee-bar, it was opend but it had to close at 19.30 to take inventory. And without further comments I leave you with the photos. I hope you like them.
