SUÉTER ROSA PARA SOFÍA

El 19 febrero mi sobrina más pequeña va a cumplir 4 años. La más joven de momento, porque estamos esperando el nacimiento de su hermana Lola de un momento a otro. 

De regalo de cumpleaños, entre otras cosas, le he tejido este suéter. Por supuesto, tenía que ser rosa.

Un par de días convaleciente casa, donde lo único que podía hacer era estar en el sofá tejiendo, leyendo o viendo la TV dieron de sí para terminarlo con anticipación. El final fue muy emocionante porque no sabía si iba a tener suficiente hilo y tendría que hacer algún cambio. Por suerte tuve suficiente, me sobró medio metro más o menos.

On February 19th  my youngest niece will be 4 years old. The youngest at the moment, because we are waiting for the birth of her sister Lola from one moment to another.
As a birthday present, among other things, I´ve knitted this sweater. Of course, it had to be pink.
I've been a couple of days convalescent at home. The only things I could do were knitting, reading or watching TV lying on the sofa, so I've finished it in advance. The end was absolutely thrilling because I was not sure if I had enough cotton or if a I had to make changes. Luckily, it wasn't lack of material. At the end it left over half a meter.

TEJIENDO EN PEQUEÑO

Hace diez días, mientras terminaba tejer el jersey de Hugo rescaté una muñeca que mi hermano le regaló a mi hija cuando era pequeña. Es una Little Bratz. Estaba en el campo de mis suegros tirada por un rincón y me dio pena que se estropeara. Estaba sin ropa y había perdido sus moños. 

Acababa de darme cuenta de que el cuello que había tejido era demasiado pequeño y pensé en aprovecharlo como parte de un gorro para la muñeca (así no se vería los agujeros de los moñetes). 

Me la llevé a casa, la lavé y, la semana pasada, me estuve entreteniendo tejiéndole su nueva ropa. Siempre me ha divertido hacerle ropa a los muñecos y de vez en cuando me gusta jugar con muñecas.

Ten days ago, while I was finishing Hugo's sweater I rescued a doll that my brother had bought to my daughter when she was a baby. It's a Little Bratz. It was in my parents in law`s cottage. It was lying in a corner and I felt sorry that it would be spoilt. It was naked and without its pigtails. 

I just realized that the collar that I had knitted to the sweater was too small and then I though that I could use it as a part of a hat for the doll (in this way the holes where before were the pigtails won't  be seen). 

I brought the doll at home, I washed it up, and during last week I knitted its new clothes. I always have fun making clothes for dolls and now and then I like playing with it.

REUNIÓN ENERO 2019 (I)

¡Hola amigas! Os dejo con las fotos de la reunión de ayer. Por cierto, este mes tenemos reunión doble, la semana que viene más. Yo no quería comprar más lana, pero Lucy me tienta demasiado. Al final acabé comprando cuatro ovillosen tonos azulesy grises  para hacerle un jersey o chaqueta a mi hijo y un ovillo arcoiris para hacerme un cuello. Ainss no tengo remedio ;)

Hello friends! I'm going to show you photos of yesterday meeting. By the way, this month we`ll have two meetings, next week we are going to have another one. I didn`t want to buy more yarn, but Lucy always temps me. Finally I bought four balls in blue and grey to knit a swater or a jacket to my son and one ball in rainbow color to knit a cowl for me. I have no choice ;)

En septiembre tejí una manta para Mario, el nuevo bisnieto de mi tita María. Me sobró bastante lana así que le he tejido este suéter a mi ahijado Hugo. Aún me ha quedado un poco que voy a aprovechar para una cosa pequeña que espero tener lista esta semana ;)

In september I crocheted a baby blanket for my auntie María's great-grandson Mario. I have had enough wool to knit this sweater to my godson Hugo too, and  I have a bit more to knit a little thing that I want to have ready this week;)

LECTURAS 2018

Llevo varios años publicando el 31 de  diciembre la lista de los libros que he leído a lo largo del año, pero la semana pasada andaba un poco despistada y me olvidé. Aquí está la lista de 2018:

En español:

- Este rodaje es la guerra (Juan Tejero): Lo empecé en 2018 y acabe en julio de 2019. Como cada capítulo se refiere a una película distinta no hay que leerlo de tirón. Es muy entretenido si te gusta el cine.

- Donde el corazón te lleve (Sussana Tamaro): Lo leí durante el puente de San José. El libro estaba en la casa rural que habíamos alquilado y lo devoré al calor de la chimenea.

- Los pilares de La Tierra (Ken Follet): Es una novela que tenía mucho tiempo en mi lista de pendientes. Aproveché las vacaciones de verano para leerla. Me fue gustando más conforme avanzaba el libro. Para el próximo verano quiero leerme la segunda parte de la trilogía.

- Muerte en primera clase (J.M. Guelbenzu): Novela de detectives que se lee en unas pocas mañanas bajo una sombrilla en la playa.

- Frank Sinatra (Agustí de Miguel): Lo saqué de la biblioteca de mi pueblo, pensando que iba a ser más interesante...

- El día que se perdió la cordura (Javier Castillo): Me enganchó desde el primer momento, pero me decepcionó un poco el final.

En inglés:

- Varios libros de la biblioteca de la Escuela de Idiomas, adaptados para estudiantes de la editorial "Penguin Readers":

I have been publishing the list of books that I have read throughout the year on December 31, but last week I was a bit distrait and I forgot. Here is the 2018 list:

In Spanish:

- This shooting is the war (Juan Tejero): I started  in 2018 and I finisihed in July 2019. Each chapter refers to a different movie so you do not have to read it without stopping. It is very entertaining if you like cinema.

- Where the heart takes you (Sussana Tamaro): I read it during the San José bank holiday. The book was in the rural house that we had rented and I devoured it in the heat of the fireplace.

- The pillars of Earth (Ken Follet): It's a novel that had a lot of time on my thing to read list. I read it during my summer holidays. I liked it more as the book progressed. For next summer I want to read the second part of the trilogy.

- Death in first class (J.M. Guelbenzu): Detective novel that yo can read in a few mornings under an umbrella on the beach.

- Frank Sinatra (Agustí de Miguel): I took it out of the library of my town, thinking it would be more interesting ...

- The day sanity was lost (Javier Castillo): I was hooked from the first moment, but I was a little disappointed with the end.

In English:
