REUNIÓN DE DICIEMBRE

Esta tarde la hemos pasado en la cafetería Babel tejiendo mil cosas diferentes: Ropita de bebé, adornos navideños, bufandas para regalar, cuellos, chaquetas.... Yo me había hecho el firme propósito de no comprar más lana hasta este verano, pero llegó Luci y me tentó: Ahora tengo dos ovillos más en casa que se convertirán en un chal o un chaleco, ya veremos ;)

This afternoon we stayed in the Babel cafeteria kniting and crocheting many different things: Baby clothes, Christmas decorations, scarves to give, collars, jackets ... I had made the firm intention not to buy more wool until this summer, but  Luci arrived  and tempted me: Now I have two more balls at home that will become a shawl or a vest, we will see;)

AMIGA INVISIBLE DE EL DESVÁN (II)

He aquí lo que yo he preparado para mi amiga invisible. Casualmente mi envío ha ido a la persona que me lo envió a mí: Pili Menéndez. Su regalo llegó ayer, el mío ha salido esta mañana.

Le he tejido el chal "Mine once more". Es el tercero que hago. Los dos primeros los tengo yo: El primero lo hicimos en un tejejuntas y el segundo lo hice la primavera pasada.

Espero que le guste tanto como a mí me ha gustado el suyo.

Here is what I have prepared for my invisible friend. Casually my mailing is going to the person who sent to me: Pili Menéndez. Her gift arrived yesterday, mine has left this morning.

I crocheted the shawl "Mine once more". It's the third one I do. The first two are mine: The first one I did in a crochetalong and the second one I did last spring.

I hope she likes it as much as I like hers.

AMIGA INVISIBLE DE EL DESVÁN

Hoy he recibido el regalo de mi amiga invisible de "el desván". Lo habría recibido el viernes si hubiera llegado cinco minutos antes a casa. Me lo envía Pili Menéndez desde Avilés. Además del chal con forma de media luna que yo pedí me ha enviado un par de ovillos junto con una revista con varias propuestas para tejer chales con ellos. Todo ello junto con una postal navideña y una bolsita de bombones, de los que ya no queda ninguno.

Today,  I have received the gift of my invisible friend from "el desván". I would have received it on Friday if I had arrived home five minutes earlier. Pili Menéndez, from Avilés sent it to me. In addition to the crescent-shaped shawl as I chose, she sent me a pair of balls and a magazine with various proposals to knit or crochet shawls with them. All this  with a Christmas card and a sachet of chocolates, of which there is none left.

El chal lo estrenaré mañana.

I am going to brand the shalw tomorrow.

Ahora mismo me voy a terminar el chal que tengo que enviar. Me queda media vuelta y plancharlo. Mañana quiero que salga con destino a Avilés ;)

Now I am going to finish the shalw that I have to send. I need to crochet half of the last row and iron it. I want to sent it tomorrow bound for Avilés ;)

CONJUNTO DE BEBÉ

En la reunión del mes pasado compré dos ovillos de bebé con la intención de hacer un par de jerseys, pero cuando llegué a casa me di cuenta de que con 1 ovillo no tendría suficiente. Así que decidí combinar los dos y hacer un jersey y unos patucos haciendo seis vueltas con cada color.

Los zapatos han quedado muy diferentes pero me gusta así.

Last month, in the meeting, I bought two baby yarn balls to make a pair of sweaters,but when I arrived at home I realized that one ball wasn't enough. So I decided mixing both ones to knit a sweater and a pair of boots.

The boots look very diffeterent but I like in this way.

 Con un lazo en el canesú. 

With a ribbon in the yuke.

 Y botones en la espalda.

And buttons in the  back.

Me apetece seguir haciendo cosas para bebés porque hace mucho que no las tejía.

Así que el sábado me compré otro ovillo para hacer un abrigo.

I want to keep doing things for babies because I haven't knitted them for a long time.

So on Saturday I bought another ball to make a baby coat.

REUNIÓN DE NOVIEMBRE

Ayer fue nuestra reunión mensual. Os dejo con las fotos. A mí me gustaron especialmente la falda de camilla tejida a dos agujas y después bordada que hizo Mari Carmen un verano debajo de una morera (eso es amor al tejido), el chal multicolor de Marisa (el más grande) y el cuello entrelazado de Isabel. ¿Decidme cuales has sido vuestras favoritas?

¡Ah y mi nuevo chal fue muy admirado! ;)

Yesterday, was our monthly meeting. I leave you with the photos. I particularly like skirt for the round table knitted and  embroidered by Mari Carmen a summer under a mulberry tree (that's love for knitting), Marisa's multicolor shawl (the biggest one) and Isabel's intertwined neck. Tell me, what have been your favourites?

And my new shawl was absolutely admired! ;)

TRUEQUE

En septiembre, para celebrar su santo, Alhana organizó un trueque. Yo fui la afortunada que se llevó el gato al agua. Y es que ese chal que tiene enamorada desde la primera vez que lo vi. Así que yo tenía que tejer algo a cambio.

In Septemer, celebrating her Saint day, Alhana arranged a barter. I was the lucky one who got it.

I fell in love with this shawl since the very first time I saw it. So I had to make something in exchange for it.

El martes enviamos nuestros paquetes y ayer ya estaban en su destino, pero cuando llegó el cartero no estábamos en casa y he tenido que esperar hasta hoy para poder recogerlo.
Alhana sí que estaba en casa así que lo recibió ayer.

On Tuesday, we sent our packages and yesterday it was at its destination, but we didn't stay at home when the postman called, so I have to wait until this morning to pick it up.
Alhana was at her home so she received the barter yesterday.

Durante un mes aproximadamente he estado tejiendo este bolso.

I have  crocheted this tote bag for a month, 

 El bolso está compuesto por 24 grannies. 

The tote bag is composed of 24 grannies.

Está forrado con una tela de algodón estampada y lleva un bolsillo. 

Los colores en esta foto se corresponden más con la realidad.

The lining is a print cotton fabric and it has a pocket.

The colours are more likely as the real ones in this photo.

 El chal prometido, con una tarjeta del diseño pintada en acuarela. No sabía que era también una artista del pincel. Mi hija, que también es pintora, se ha quedado muy complacida con la pintura y yo aún más.

The promised shawl with a watercolor card of the design. I dídn't know that she is and artist with the brush too. My daughter, who also is a painter, feels was pleased with it, and I love it.

 Un marcapáginas de bolillos maravilloso, que me da miedo usarlo, pero lo usaré.
A wonderful bobbin bookmark that I'm afraid using it but I'll do it.

Todo ello muy ordenadito en una caja de cartón que a partir de ahora guardará material de mis cursos.
All this things very tidy in a carton box that since now keep my course materials.
