COJÍN 1/8

Este verano toca renovar las fundas de los cojines. Hace unos años hice seis fundas para los cojines del sofá y del orejero. Tejí el mismo patrón en colores diferentes.

Esta vez voy a tejer con el mismo color pero diferente patrón. Además de los del salón, voy a tejer dos para mi dormitorio. Reme me regaló un par de patchwork que por desgracia están estropeados por la parte de atrás. Los he guardado para renovarlos algún día. No sé si volverán a ser cojines o una bolsa para labores, ya se verá.

Cuando termine con los ocho, si no estoy demasiado aburrida de hacer lo mismo, tejeré otro par para las camas de mis hijos. Esta vez en los colores que prefieran.

This summer is time to renew the cushion covers. A few years ago I crocheted six covers for the cushions in my sofa and armchair. I made the same pattern but in different colours.

Now I'm going to crochet with the same colour but different patterns. Besides, I'll make a pair more to my bed. Reme gifted me a pair of patchwork covers but they are deteriorated in the rear part. I've kept them to give a new lease on life: I still don't know if they will be cushions again or a bag for handcrafts, we'll see.

When I finish all of them, if I'm not bored of doing the same, I'll crocheted a pair more for my children's beds This time they will be crocheted in the colours that they choose.

CONJUNTO BIBLIOTECARIA

 A veces pienso que tengo alma de bibliotecaria. Soy una enamorada de los libros, me encanta tejer (todas mis amigas bibliotecarias tejen) y las rebecas son una de mis prendas favoritas que, junto con un chal, es la prenda que se asocia a la imagen de una bibliotecaria.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no me tejía un conjunto de suéter y rebeca. Éste me gusta especialmente, tanto por el color como por el brillo del hilo y el punto. Los botones son reciclados y el patrón inventado sobre la marcha, como casi siempre.

Sometimes, I belive that I have a librarian soul. I'm in love with books, one of my favourites hobbies is knitting (all my librarian friends knit) and I feel comfortable to wear cardigans. Cardigans and shawls are joined to librarian image.

Long time I didn't knit a twin set. I like the colour, the shine and the motif. The buttons are reyicled and the pattern from my mind, as usual.

MANTA A CUATRO MANOS

Hace 8 años empecé un proyecto. Desafortunadamente Isabel Ciudad, la organizadora, no podo seguir con él. Yo guardé mis grannies en una caja de metal a modo de muestrario. El pasado invierno Reme me entregó los suyos junto con otro montón más para que le diéramos uso en el grupo. Entonces se me ocurrió la idea de unir los suyos (yo tenía lana verde y blanca de la misma calidad) y hacer una mini manta para regalársela. Así que tejí un par de vueltas más a cada granny, los uní y tejí el borde. A pesar del calor que estamos pasando, he tenido la energía de poder terminarla la semana pasada.

Eight years ago I started a project. Unluckily, Isabel Ciudad, the  host, couldn't carry on with it. I kept my grannies in a metal box as a collection of samples. Last winter my friend Reme gave me hers among a lot more in order to use them in the group. But I saved these to gift her a little blanket. I had balls in green and white of the same kind of wool. So, I crocheted a pair of rounds more to each granny, I joined them, and I made the edge. Despite of the fact that these days are scorching, I had the energy to finish the blanket last week.

BOLSO DE DOS CARAS

 

Hace casi dos meses de mi última entrada. Creo que es la primera vez que he tardado tanto en publicar.

Entre que he estado estudiando intensivamente (esta mañana han salido las notas, ya tengo C1 en inglés) y tengo varias cosas empezadas no tenía nada que mostrar.

Este bolso lo hice el fin de semana pasado. Se me ocurrió la idea el sábado por la mañana y anoche lo terminé. Cada lado es diferente así que es un 2x1. Es un regalo para una amiga.

Almost two months since my last entry. It's the first time that it took me so long to publish.

I've been studying intensively (the grades came out this morning and now I have a C1 in English) and furthermore I have in progress several works I had anything to show off.

I crocheted this little bag last weekend. I had the idea on Saturday morning and yesterday at night I finished it. Each side is different so that it's a 2x1. It's a gift for a friend.

DANIEL

 

Una compañera de clase está embarazada y a principios de verano tendrá su primer hijo. 

Aprovechando que tuve unos días de vacaciones en Semana Santa tejí estos patucos para Daniel.

A classmate is pregnant and in the beggining of summer she is going to give birth 

for the first time. 

I knitted these baby booties to Daniel while I was on Easter holidays.
